GUERRILLA GROUP INSTALLATION AND SCULPTURE

Spaces In Between, 2025

A collaborative guerrilla installation, Spaces in Between explored collective memory, spatial belonging, and processes of emotional repair. A group of artists worked together to create a temporary, site-responsive environment using dyed fabric and adaptable materials, transforming the chosen riverside site into a space of reflection and interaction. The installation invited participants to physically and perceptually navigate the space, encountering the layered interplay between material, body, and memory.

The project emphasised shared making and dialogue, fostering empathy and connection across cultural and artistic perspectives. By blurring boundaries between individual and collective experience, the work addressed the fluidity of identity, belonging, and the act of inhabiting contested or transitional spaces. Participants were encouraged to reflect on how space carries historical, personal, and emotional narratives, highlighting the capacity of collaborative artistic practice to nurture understanding and social engagement.

Spaces in Between foregrounded adaptability and impermanence, resisting fixed interpretations and instead offering a relational experience shaped by interaction, movement, and perception. The installation underscored how art can mediate conversations about memory, history, and belonging while providing a space for collective inquiry and emotional resonance.
